Letters to the Editor
No Muslim can deny the fact that Muslims in India are safer than those in other countries, enjoying all the rights and privileges of citizenship. Partition has neither brought unity among Muslims nor peace to the citizens of both India and Pakistan. It is not only a tragedy, but also a historical blunder. Muslims might have dreamt of a peaceful life in a Muslim country, but the bitter fact is that Pakistanis have not yet started tasting the fruits of democracy. Another bitter fact is that Muslims in India are looked down upon by some people just because the suspects in the terror attacks in Mumbai are Pakistanis and Muslims in name.
