dated December 18, 1958: Land problem

Prime Minister Nehru and the Boodan leader Acharya Vinobha Bhave, addressing a large public meeting consisting mainly of peasants, said in Gangad on December 17 that the solution of the land problem was the key to the overall progress of the country. The two leaders said that the complicated land problem in the country could be solved only with popular initiative and co-operation as distinct from purely official actions.
