SANGAREDDY: B. Shyam Sunder, a Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) activist created a flutter on Wednesday by threatening to jump from a tower, in support of MRPS demands.

Around 4 p.m. the MRPS activist climbed the tower along with three kerosene bottles.

He even threatened to immolate himself if was forced to come down. RDO Mrityunjaya and Circle Inspector Rangan Goud rushed to the spot.

After a lot of persuasion, Shyam Sunder got down from the tower after MRPS local leader A. Ratnababu spoke with MRPS president Manda Krishna Madiga and informed the agitating activist that MRPS president wanted him to get down.
