Driver dies in accident

BANGALORE: A 35-year-old truck driver was killed in a pile-up involving three lorries on the cable-stayed bridge near K.R. Puram on Wednesday.

According to the police, the three lorries were going towards K.R. Puram. The pile-up occurred when the lorry in front braked to avoid a scooter.

Sudhakar Reddy (35) of Guntur, the driver of the lorry in the middle, died before he could be taken to the hospital. Firoz Khan, the driver of the lorry at the back, was admitted to a private hospital.

The K.R. Puram traffic police are searching for the driver of the lorry that was in front.

The movement of traffic was affected for nearly two hours.
