This Day That Age
Marshal Bulganin was one of the speakers at the December 18 session of the Central Committee of the Soviet Communist Party, Moscow Radio reported. Tass reported later that Marshal Bulganin had admitted that everything Mr. Khrushchev had accused “the Anti-Party Group” of doing, was correct. Only two days ago — at the opening of the meeting — Marshal Bulganin, who is now Chairman of the Stavropol Regional Economic Council, was severely criticised by Mr. Khrushchev along with other members of the “Anti-Party Group”. Corrections and Clarifications (In "This Day That Age" (December 20, 2008), the first headline was "Algerian problem", while the text related to Marshal Bulganin admitting to charges against him made at the Central Committee of the Soviet Communist Party. The Hindu of December 20, 1958, had the Bulganin report as the lead story. Below a first column cut in the main report was "The Algerian problem". The text and heading were mixed up, which went unnoticed and uncorrected by those in charge)
