Another jolt to Ajit Jogi camp

Raipur: Yet in another jolt to the Ajit Jogi Camp in Chhattisgarh, the national executive committee of All-India Youth Congress on Friday removed Yogesh Tiwari, a staunch Jogi loyalist, from the post of president of Youth Congress of Chhattisgarh State unit.

A day ago Ajit Jogi, despite lobbying hard to get the post of Leader of Opposition in Chhattisgarh Assembly did not find favour with the central leadership and six-time MLA Ravindra Chaubey was nominated for the post.

Spokesperson of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CPCC) Ravindra Shukla said in an e-mailed message that Chayanika Unniyal, General Secretary, All India Youth Congress and Chhattisgarh in-charge, has informed that Tiwari has been removed from the aforesaid post with immediate effect.

No reason has been cited for the removal of Tiwari. -- PTI
