MRPS protesters arrested in Adilabad, Sangareddy

ADILABAD: Police on Friday arrested agitating activists of Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti (MRPS) in Adilabad town as one of them climbed a cell phone tower.
Earlier in the day, a few activists were arrested before they could block the passage of the Patna Purna Express at the local railway station. The MRPS activists were agitating for introducing of SC categorisation Bill in the current session of Parliament.
Sangareddy Staff Reporter adds: MRPS activists staged a ‘rail-roko’ at Ramayampet and Zaheerabad. Scores of them squatted on the tracks for some time and were later arrested by the police.
