INLD condemns Centre for ‘failure’ to tackle terrorism

Special Correspondent

‘Take decisive action against Pakistan without any delay’

CHANDIGARH: The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) on Monday condemned the UPA Government at the Centre and the Haryana Government for respectively failing to control terrorism in country and the deteriorating law and order situation in the State.

Addressing a press conference here, former Finance Minister Sampat Singh said that despite the fact that the people of India and all the Indian political parties had expressed solidarity with the Central Government in such a critical and crucial period, the UPA regime had failed to “react” to Pakistan-sponsored terrorism effectively.

He also ridiculed the move of the Centre to “create some new agencies for further investigations” and said already there were so many central agencies in the country with similar functions.

He asserted that the Central Government should take “decisive action” against Pakistan without any further delay and destroy terrorist camps in the neighbouring country.

While condemning the recent killing of two youth in police firing in Bhiwani district, Mr. Sampat Singh said that it was for the first time that in history that dead bodies had been cremated after four days because of “negligence” of the Bhupinder Singh Hooda-led Government.

He further demanded that the Chief Minister should resign immediately as he “had miserably failed to protect the welfare of the people.”
