Holds demonstration

Thiruvananthapuram: The workers of the Transport Democratic Federation (TDF) took out demonstrations and held dharnas in front of the offices of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) on Tuesday in protest against the management’s failure to make early payment of salaries on account of Christmas.

Association president Thampanoor Ravi said KSRTC employees were being discriminated against even though the monthly revenue of the undertaking had crossed Rs.90 crore.

The management had decided to pay 50 per cent of the salary on Wednesday, sources said. — Special Correspondent
