GHMC employee in ACB net

HYDERABAD: Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Tuesday arrested a Superintendent Engineer (Lakes Water Body Management )of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Korra Dharma, on charge of amassing wealth illegally.

Searches at his office and house revealed that he owned assets worth over Rs. 2.1 crore that were disproportionate to his known sources of income, according to a press release. His assets include eight house sites, 17.25 acres of agricultural land at Meerpet, Nadurgul, Hayathnagar, Maheswaram and Yacharam on city outskirts and a three-floor building at Saidabad. Mr. Dharma is the fourth GHMC employee to be arrested on corruption charge in the past two months.

Earlier, junior assistant M. Kanakaiah, Assistant City Planners L. Bikshapati and S. Sharadamba and Town Planning Supervisor T. Srinivas Das were arrested on corruption charge.
