Readmit students to hospital: court
Special Correspondent
CHENNAI: The Madras High Court on Tuesday directed the authorities to readmit to the general hospital here two students of the Dr.Ambedkar Government Law College, who were discharged and lodged in the sub-jail at Saidapet.
The students were injured in the clash on the campus on November 12. In her order on two petitions filed by the parents of Bharatikannan and Arumugham, Justice K. Suguna said the students should be readmitted to the hospital and treated as inpatients for 30 days from Wednesday. The judge posted the matter for January 22.
The judge had earlier directed two doctors to examine the students and submit a report whether or not they were fit for discharge, or they needed continuous treatment as inpatients. The doctors submitted their report.
