Aussies’s drubbing leaves Pietersen chuckling

London: England skipper Kevin Pietersen has rubbed salt on Ricky Ponting’s wounds, claiming that Australia’s drubbing at the hands of South Africa in the first Test in Perth brought a smile in his face.

Ahead of next year’s Ashes series where England will take on the World champion, Pietersen has said he was left chuckling on the field when he came to know about the result.

“When I was batting I saw on the scoreboard South Africa had won…and it made me chuckle a little bit,” he was quoted as saying in The Sun.
