Chiru’s indirect overture to TRS

Staff Reporter

‘Not averse to joining hands with the political party belonging to this area’

SIDDIPET (Medak District): Praja Rajyam Party president Chiranjeevi has indicated that his party was not averse to joining hands with the ‘political party belonging to this area’ in the next elections if it came forward for an alliance.

Coming in the light of its unsuccessful bid to enter into a truck with the Left parties, the statement made by Mr. Chiranjeevi in the hometown of Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K. Chandrasekhar Rao assumes political significance.

He did not make a direct mention of the TRS though. Mr. Chiranjeevi who concluded his three-day Praja Ankita Yatra in the district was cautious in his remarks referring to the backwardness of the district, but did not touch upon the separate Telangana issue in all his public meetings. The meetings, especially those at Gajwel and Siddipet on Wednesday, received huge response.
