Student wins prize

VIZIANAGARAM: G. Venkataramana, a student of class VII in St. Joseph’s English Medium High School here bagged the second prize in the State-level Telugu elocution conducted on the occasion of National Consumers’ Day in Hyderabad on Wednesday. In a press release here on Thursday, the school principal Sister Filomina said that Joint Collector P. Lakshmi Narasimham would be presenting the cash award of Rs.2000 for securing first prize in district-level and Rs.1500 for the State-level competitions to the student. She said that the school students bagged a sum of Rs.15000 as prize money in essay and elocution competitions on consumer awareness.
