Sai Kaleshwar to fund education of 1,000 students ANANTAPUR: Godman Sai Kaleshwar of Penukonda says that he has taken to the path of spiritualism only with the decision of the almighty and whether he will take to politics or not will also be decided by his ‘guru’, the almighty. Speaking to the media in Shiridi Sai ashram in Penukonda on Thursday, he said his was a completely contented spiritual life and only the almighty would lead him to any change, if necessary, at an appropriate time. He evaded direct answer to a question whether he would join the Congress during the Chief Minister’s visit to Hindupur on December 30. He announced that he would fund the education of 1,000 meritorious students from poor families in the next academic year and the selection would be done on the lines of ‘Anantha Aanimuthyalu’ being implemented by the district administration. He would also distributed tricycles to 1,000 physically challenged persons in January next. The godman termed Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and two Ministers from the district J.C. Diwakar Reddy and N. Raghuveera Reddy as ‘apara bhageerathulu’ for realising a drinking water scheme to the fluoride-hit areas of Kalyanadurg, Rayadurg, Penukonda, Madakasira and Hindupur in a record time. People should support the leaders, irrespective of their political affiliation, who were benefiting the majority people, he felt.
