Two hacked

Thrissur: Tension prevailed at Chittanjoor, near Kunnamkulam, following a clash between BJP and CPI(M) activists on Thursday night. Two CPI(M) workers were hacked. A few houses and shops were also attacked during the violence.

Sinith, son of Kandampilly Sivadasan and Sanil, son of Kalathil Bharathan were admitted to the hospital. A quarrel during ‘Kavadi’ festival of Alathur temple led to the clash between the political groups. The Kunnamkulam police are camping in the area.—Staff Reporter
