Bharati Singh is Deputy Mayor

BHUBANESWAR: Bharati Singh, a Biju Janata Dal (BJD) corporator, was elected Deputy Mayor of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) here on Friday.

Ms. Singh represents ward No:16 that covers Salia Sahi, the largest slum of the State. Election to BMC was held on December 2 in which BJD won two third of seats. Anant Narayan Jena of BJD was unanimously elected Mayor on December 10.
