CPI (M) demand

District unit secretary of CPI (M), Ch.Narasinga Rao, on Friday demanded provision of a jetty for carrying out fishing activities, to the fishermen numbering 25,000 in Gangavaram village.

The party which had carried out a survey on the living conditions of fishermen found that most of the fishermen had lost their livelihood because of construction of a wall by the Gangavaram Port and denial of access to the jetty.

He interacted with the villagers on Friday.
