THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala police on Friday denied reports that two suspected terrorists hailing from the State were arrested in New Delhi. Director-General of Police Jacob Punnose told PTI that the State police had not gone to Delhi and effected any arrest. “We have no information about it,” he said. Media reports had stated that Hameed and Ansal — reportedly activists of the Indian Mujahideen — had been arrested. An earlier New Delhi datelined report said Hameed was alleged to be one of the masterminds of the 1998 Coimbatore blasts. He is also said to have links with the Lashkar-e-Taiba. — PTI
