Lok Sabha prorogued

NEW DELHI: The 14th session of the Lok Sabha was prorogued by President Pratibha Patil on December 24, the Lok Sabha Secretariat said on Friday.

The session that began on July 21, with the Prime Minister moving a motion seeking confidence of the House, was adjourned sine die on July 22. The session’s second part was convened in October. After a break for campaign for six Assembly elections, it met again on December 10 and adjourned sine die on December 23.

The next session, expected some time in February 2009, will be the 15th session of the 14th Lok Sabha.
