Satyam board meeting put off

HYDERABAD: The meeting of the board of directors of Satyam Computer Services, slated for December 29, has been postponed.

An official announcement with regard to the postponement will be made to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the Securities and the Exchange Board of India (SEBI), said a spokesperson of the company. An independent director on condition of anonymity said that the meeting was postponed as two independent directors, Vinod Dham and Krishna G. Palepu, who were abroad, wanted to participate personally in the meeting sometime during the second of week of January.

Further details will be known only after the announcement is notified to the BSE and SEBI.
