Rs. 100 notes with ‘S’ inset

The RBI will shortly be issuing Rs.100 denomination bank notes with the letter ‘S’ inset in both numbering panels in Mahatma Gandhi Series-2005, bearing the signature of Dr.Y.V.Reddy, Governor of RBI. A press release stated that except for the change in inset letter, the design of the notes to be issued now would be similar in all respects to the bank notes issued earlier.
