Doctors to intensify agitation
HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Government Doctors Association (APGDA) has decided to intensify agitation demanding no extension for another term of Superintendent of Gandhi Hospital Dr. B. Balraju.
The APGDA members will take up dharna and protests at all the teaching hospitals in the State on Monday from 9 a.m., APGDA release on Sunday said.
Similar protests will also be taken up at all the non-teaching hospitals in Hyderabad too, informed APGDA president Dr. P Srinivas in the release. APGDA is demanding regular eligible senior doctor to be posted as Superintendent of Gandhi Hospital immediately.
The apex body of government doctors has also decided to take up a relay hunger strike at Gandhi Hospital premises from January 2, 2009.
