60 lakh houses constructed under the Indiramma housing project, says the Minister Rosaiah lays the foundation stone for a bridge across Romperu at Wada CHIRALA: Finance Minister K. Rosaiah on Sunday said the government constructed 60 lakh houses under the Indiramma programme in the State. Inaugurating 81 houses constructed at Desaipet in his Chirala constituency, Mr. Rosaiah thanked Nimmagadda foundation for helping the beneficiaries complete their houses by granting Rs. 20,000 each. The government was sanctioning Rs. 31,250 and providing a bridge loan of Rs. 20,000 each. As the amount was not sufficient, the Nimmagadda foundation came forward to grant Rs. 20,000 each to help beneficiaries complete the construction in all respects. The construction was completed in three months. Nimmagadda foundation agreed to extend the help for 2,000 houses in Chirala constituency, the Minister said. Mr. Rosaiah took a dig at TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu for asking the people to wait for three months so that TDP would come to power and solve all their problems. Mr. Rosaiah said that people had experienced the TDP rule for nine years and know pretty well what Mr. Naidu would do if he was elected to power again. Later, the Minister laid the foundation stone for a bridge across Romperu at Wada. He also laid the foundation stone for 450 houses at Challareddypalem village. The houses would be completed in three months with the help of Nimmagadda foundation, he said. He also inaugurated 33/11 kv substation at the village.
