Mr. Ramchander Reddy and Adilabad Municipal chairman Digambar Rao Patil were among the speakers who extolled the government for initiating various welfare measures. Show of strengthWarangal Staff Reporter adds: Great pomp and show marked the Congress party’s 123rd foundation day celebrations here in the district. At every mandal headquarters and in tri-cities of Warangal, Hanamkonda and Kazipet, the Congress leaders competed with one another in mobilising people to show their strength. Those aspiring for the tickets in the next Assembly elections worked a bit more pulling more crowds to the prestigious programme of the party. At the Congress Bhavan at Hanamkonda, the Major Irrigation Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah attended the flag hoisting ceremony and administered the pledge to all the party leaders and cadre present there. At Wardhannapet, party senior activist B. Judson of Kazipet who is aspiring for the ticket from this Constituency organised the party programme on grand scale thus exhibiting his organisational skills and public support in the area. Poor responseNizamabad Staff Reporter adds: There was a poor response to the Congress party’s call for forming the human chain to highlight schemes and programmes introduced by the party government in the State, across the district on Sunday. Seeing the low turnout of the party workers and passive response from the people the Congress leaders took strains to move students to the main junctions to form the human chain.
