Aguilera may sign deal with Top Shop boss

London: Billionaire Philip Green may rope in singer Christina Aguilera to design a new collection for his fashion label ‘TopShop’.

The news might leave Aguilera’s old rival pop-singer Britney Spears green with envy.

Aguilera is expected to earn over $1 million per range that she will design for the Britain’s foremost fashion range, Mirror reported.

Will continue

Supermodel Kate Moss who also designed some successful collection for some time for ‘TopShop’ will not be replaced and will continue designing her own range.

The 28-old singer will create her own additional lines alongside Kate’s.

Aguilera is expected to appeal to a younger shopper than Kate. Even 34-year-old Kate has created seven collections since she was signed by Green in May 2007.

The supermodel has recently signed a new deal with Green over $5 million a year, for three more years and she will be developing lingerie and accessories on top of her fashion collections. — PTI
