Kurella awards

The 16th awards function of the Kurella Group of Trusts here on Sunday honoured 14 eminent persons in different professions and fine arts and upcoming artists and ‘Super kids.’ Former Union Power secretary E.A.S. Sarma, former Vice-Chancellor of Acharya Nagarjuna University V. Balamohan Das, Rotarian K. Chaya Devi and District and Sessions Judge of the Mahila Court M. Harihara Swamy Sarma participated. Trust Chairman Kurella Someswara Rao suggested that a music college and an auditorium come up at the Old Jail site and said MP T.Subbarami Reddy promised to look into the matter. The recitation of the Vedas by Samavedula Ramagopala Sastry set the tone for the meeting.
