Shop burgled
Burglars struck at a shop on P.G. Road in Secunderabad on Saturday night and escaped with electronic goods, all worth over Rs.3 lakh. Offenders entered the Photoland Colour Lab by lifting the shutter and vanished with cameras and laptops.
Run over by train
An army man was killed after a train hit him at Safilguda railway station on Saturday. G. Murali, 42, a resident of R. K. Puram, was crossing the tracks when the accident occurred, according to the police.
Student succumbs
An intermediate second year student, who attempted suicide by setting herself ablaze at her house at Rajendranagar on Friday, succumbed to burns while undergoing treatment at the Osmania General Hospital on Sunday. Police said Bhavani took the drastic step after her parents allegedly decided to perform her marriage against her wishes.
