Cheques distributed to farm labourers

Bhimavaram: Grandhi Srinivas, Bhimavaram MLA, had distributed cheques of Rs.2,55,000/- here on Monday under ‘Amadan Yuvajana Insurance scheme’ of Central Government covering seven persons of agricultural labourers who died in accident and natural deaths of Bhimavaram Mandal. Vadapalli Jaganmohan youth Congress leader also attended this programme.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Srinivas said that agricultural labourers who die in accidents or due to natural death would be covered under this scheme.
He said the Central Government would pay Rs.100 to every agricultural labourer and another Rs. 100 would be borne by the State Government.
He said that if agricultural labourer dies in accident his family would be benefited by getting Rs.75,000/- as ex-gratia whereas if the agricultural labourer dies due to natural death, his family would get Rs.30,000/-as financial aid.
Acharya, Coordinator of DRDA, and Vishnumurthy Raju, village president of Kovvada village said that under this scheme so far 28 families from Guntalapadu, Tunduru, Dirusumarru K.Annavaram and Chinaamiram villages were benefited.
