In addition to the city police personnel, 350 additional police personnel, including women police constables from outside Thiruvananthapuram range, will be pressed into service.

According to City Police Commissioner Revada Azad Chandrasekhar, police pickets will be set up in front of 17 high schools in the city where the participants would be put up and in front of all the 16 venues.

The major venues such as Putharikandam Maidan, SMV Higher Secondary School and Cotton Hill Girls Higher Secondary School will be under the overall charge of a senior police officer.

Vehicles of the local police station and those of the control room will be deployed for patrolling. Parking arrangements will be made by the police in consultation with the organisers, he added.
