Held for bomb hoax

CHENNAI: The Government Railway Police, Egmore, arrested a man on the charge of sending a bomb hoax message on Monday.

N. Selvendran (29) of Thanjavur district had sent a text message to the Q Branch helpline mobile number on December 16, saying bombs would explode in the Egmore, Tambaram, Tiruchi, Madurai and Coimbatore stations.

The police said the message was found a hoax.
