GULBARGA: Syeda Nazafra Fatima, 10th standard student of Sharanabasaveshwar Residential Public School, brought laurels to her school and the region by winning the first prize in the state-level painting competition jointly organised by the Bhoomi Balaga and the Colour groups held at Tumkur. Fatima, who faced a stiff competition from over 12,000 children, impressed the judges with her immaculate technique and was honoured with a cash prize of Rs. 1000, a citation, and a memento.
