ELURU: Three persons of a family reportedly committed suicide by consuming poison at Velpuru in Tanuku mandal on Tuesday. The dead were identified as M. Anjali, 46, her son Someswara Gupta, 31, and daughter Ratnakumari. M. Nagasubramanyeswara Gupta, head of the family, was said to have gone out when they resorted to the extreme step. Mr. Gupta, who was doing rice business, was reportedly under pressure from money lenders to repay loans. -Staff Reporter
