Officials taken to task

KOLAR: Ravikumar, Secre-tary, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Depart-ment, has directed the officials concerned to provide jobs under NREGS to daily wage workers in Madanahalli panchayat limits. Following a report in The Hindu on December 26, Mr. Ravikumar rushed to the panchayat office and reportedly took the officials to task after verifying the records and instructed them to provide jobs to the needy.
