RAIPUR: A police officer has been arrested for allegedly cheating a young man of more than Rs.4 lakh on promise of getting him a government job. Two others named in the FIR are absconding and the police have started a manhunt for them. According to the Rajnandgaon police, trainee police officer Santosh Borker was absconding since a complaint was registered against him in October this year. A police team nabbed him from a relative’s residence in Raipur late on Tuesday evening. Borker was arrested on the basis of a complaint by Vinod, a resident of Bhilai. He had alleged that Borker along with Vaishnav and his wife had assured him of a government job if he paid up Rs.5 lakh. Vinod paid them more than Rs.4 lakh but then both Santosh and Vaishnav disappeared.
