New Year greetings

Thiruvananthapuram: Governor R.S. Gavai has wished the people of the State a happy, peaceful and prosperous New Year. In a message issued here on Wednesday, he called upon the people to stand together and strive for a fruitful year of all-round progress and development. Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan wished a peaceful and happy new year to the people. He said that the year 2009 would witness the effective implementation of welfare and development schemes in the State. — Special Correspondent
