“Bharatiya culture is founded on the twin glories of faith in God and the practice of religion. They constitute the root-system which nurtures the nation”, observed Their Holinesses the Jeer of Ahobila Mutt, Sri Sankaracharya of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, Sri Madhwacharya of Udipi Pejawar Mutt and the head of the Tiruganasambandar Adheenam in a joint appeal issued on December 31. The appeal emphasised the need for complete reorientation of education “so as to bring out the best in our children”.
