Indian Mujahideen member held
Staff Reporter
Mumbai: The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) arrested an alleged member of Indian Mujahideen (IM) in Pune on Tuesday, an official source said. The suspect has been identified as Hussain Shabbir Meheruddin Gangavli, 30, a resident of Karnataka.
He was arrested for possession of fake currency, said ATS chief K.P.Raghuvanshi. “So far no link with IM has emerged. He is being questioned.”
Hussain is currently in ATS custody. Although Mr. Raghuvanshi did not state that his links with any of the blasts were being probed, he said that Hussain was being probed for “everything.”
