The Lokayukta police have arrested a joint registrar of cooperative society for allegedly taking Rs. 2,000 as bribe. N.V. Nayak, joint registrar of cooperative society, Karnataka Contractor Cooperative Society, K.R. Road, allegedly demanded bribe from T.B. Bore Gowda for settlement of dues related to the latter’s work in the society. Nayak allegedly received Rs. 3,000 and then demanded Rs. 2,000. Nayak was caught while he was allegedly accepting Rs. 2,000, accordin g to a press release.
