Gang operated in 4 districts in State and Maharashtra It killed one person at Achanpally village on Dec. 3 NIZAMABAD: The Bodhan police with the assistance of Range Crime Control Squad and Central Crime Station busted an inter-State dacoit gang and arrested six notorious offenders on Wednesday. The arrested were identified as Rathod Rahul of Pittalwadi, Chowhan Kailas and Chawhan Chagosh of Bhainsa in Adilabad district and Bosle Pratap of Bokar, Chowhan Sanjeev of Muktkhed and Bosle Santhose of Newga in Nanded district of Maharashtra. Giving details at a press conference here, Deputy IG of Police K. Rajaratnam Naidu, said acting on a tip-off the police nabbed the dacoits at Shakkarnagar in Bodhan town when they were moving under suspicious circumstances. On interrogation they revealed the details of all the members of gang and the offences committed. The gang members used to go round villages and towns in the day time and identify isolated and locked houses. After that they used to plan to commit the offences with the help of other gang members. They gang created terror by beating inmates indiscriminately and also killing them sometimes. In the recent incident on December 3 in Achanpally village the offenders brutally killed one of the inmates Sambasiva Rao and took away gold, silver ornaments, three mobile phones and cash all worth Rs. 60,000. The gang operated in Nizamabad, Adilabad, Warangal and Karimnagar districts and also in Maharashtra. The offenders were wanted in two murder for gain cases as many dacoit cases, four robbery cases and 19 house breakings, said the Deputy IG. Petrol bunksThey also looted petrol bunks at Basar and Navipet in the State and Dharmabad, Kanduwar, Atta, Madavpur and Mahor of Maharashtra. The accused persons were ex-convicts and were sentenced in many property offences in two States. Four tolas of gold worth Rs. 45,000 was recovered from them.
