Honour for neurologist

RECOGNITION: Neurologist Krishnamoorthy Srinivas receiving the National Life Time Achievement Award from the former President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, at a function in New Delhi.

CHENNAI: Neurologist Krishnamoorthy Srinivas was recently awarded the National Life Time Achievement Award by the Indian Academy of Neurology and the Asian and Oceanic Neurology Group. He received the award from the former President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, in New Delhi on October 23.

Prof. Srinivas, Chairman- Emeritus of K. Gopalakrishna Department of Neurology and T.S. Srinivasan Centre for Clinical Neurosciences, VHS Medical Centre, served as the first president of the Indian Academy of Neurology in 1991. On the same day, his son E.S.Krishnamoorthy of the Institute of Neurological Sciences, VHS, received the HC Bajoria Award for his work in epilepsy from the Indian Epilepsy Society.
