Free dhothis, saris from today

CHENNAI: The State government has ordered the free distribution of dhothis and saris from Thursday.

An official release said that like last year, the government would distribute 1.59 crore dhothis and 1.60 crore saris.

The district administrations have made arrangements for the distribution.

In Chennai, the distribution will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister on Thursday morning at Velacherry.
