VIJAYAWADA: Delhi was 214 for four in 92 overs at the close of the first day’s play in the quarterfinal match in the under-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy tournament against Andhra at Indore, according to information reaching here on Wednesday. Delhi’s Unmukhchand scored 75 while Taran Gupta chipped in with 43. Andhra’s Sk. Md. Basha took two for 31. The scores: Delhi 214 for four in 92 overs (Unmukhchand 75, Taran Gupta 43) vs. Andhra. Satyavani to leadKurnool’s B.V. Satyavani will lead the Andhra Cricket Association’s senior team in the South Zone inter-State (two-day) tournament to be played at Anantapur from January 1 to 14, according to ACA secretary V.
