CHENNAI: Rajasekar’s all-round performance (67 and four for 26) helped Crazy Colts defeat Universal by 113 runs in a Canara Bank-PCA league cricket match.

The scores: Crazy Colts 216 (Rajasekar 67) bt Universal 103 (Rajasekar four for 26).

United Force 103 lost to Crazy Colts 106 for six.

Second Div.: Young Cavaliers 138 (Prabhu four for 26) bt Mass 86 (Pazhani four for 16).

Zenith 101 (Ameen four for eight) lost to Sunny 103 for five.

VBCA-CSSF final

VBCA and CSSF entered the final of the Prahlad Cricket Academy tournament with comfortable semifinal wins.

The scores (semifinals):

VBCA 169 for three in 30 overs (G.V. Vignesh 37, Akash Sivam 55, Badri Vishal three for 40) bt FSCA 141 for nine in 30 overs (Suryaprakash 54).

Prahlad 90 for nine in 30 overs (R. Ashwin three for 30) lost to CSSF 92 for one in 22.3 overs (T. Sivaprakash 60 n.o.).

Young Stars posts win

Young Stars Cricket Academy beat the Tamil Nadu Under-14 team by 73 runs in a two day exhibition match that ended on Tuesday.

The scores: YSCA 260 in 77 overs (S. Noor Mohamed 43, M. Srinivasan 108, D. Manoj 53, Geet Puri three for 45, Akash Ram four for 24) bt Tamilnadu u-14 187 in 84.2 overs (Shah Rukh Khan 29, Prayana Venkatesh 87, P. Sanjay Kumar four for 36).

Future’s cricket

The Future Stars Cricket Academy will conduct the K.R. Sundararajan Memorial Trophy U-13 tournament from Jan. 1 at Meenakshi College for women, Kodambakkam.

Leading academies in the city have registered for participation.
