Cultural programmes usher in New Year

SANGAREDDY: The district officials blessed the students for to excel and put their best efforts forward in the New Year and extended warm greetings to them. New Year celebrations were held on Wednesday at the Boys Hostel premises.

Around 1,000 students from BC, SC, and ST hostels attended the programme. Cultural programmes were also arranged to enthral them.

The programme was organised by BC Welfare Department.

Collector Peeyush Kumar, Superintendent of Police Mohd. Iqbal, Joint Collector Ram Shankar Naik, district revenue officer B.S.V.V.S. Murthy and others participated in the programme.

On Thursday, the staff of UCO Bank organised a programme at the Sabita Deaf and Dumb Students’ Hostel in the town.

They distributed pens and sweets to the students. Branch manager Swami Rao, B. Kiran Babu, G.V.S.S. Sai Ram and others participated.
