Billed as close to reality, the upcoming Hindi movie “Aasma” brings to life a theatre group that has faith in its abilities despite the agonies and tribulations that life presents.

Comprising talented yet aspiring actors, the theatre group titled “Aasma” sets out on a mission to carve out a niche for itself through its sheer brilliance and dedication. But it soon finds that the path to stardom is fraught with insecur ities, anxieties and dilemmas.

They find that friendship and dedication lead them to newer heights, beyond the darkness that temporarily blinds each of them.

The cast includes Hrishitaa Bhatt, Nauheed Cyrusi, Seema Biswas and Raghubir Yadav.

The film’s protagonist is young debutant actor Shubh. Stating that he has also been associated with the NSD in Delhi, Shubh adds that he has been a part of numerous plays with established theatre personalities. “I want to do films that excite me, especially those that give out a meaningful message. Actors Nauheed and Hrishita have been very supportive of me.”
