Film: Mental Krishna Cast: P. Krishna Murali, Satya Krishnan Direction: Posani Krishna Murali Mental Krishna is the story of a man who is impotent and tortures his wife because of his limitations. Posani Krishna Murali dressing like a woman in the posters might bring in curious audience, but they are likely to be disappointed. One might think that he is giving us a peak into the lives of gay and impotent men, but he ends up dishing out another archaic formula. Muddu Krishna (Krishna Murali) is the only son to his parents and they dress him up like a girl for fun. He finds such clothing comfortable and little do the parents realise that he is growing up to be a perverted man and is having a relationship with a gay (Raghu Babu) friend. Satya Krishnan is ditched by the groom on the day of her wedding and agrees to marry Krishna Murali and her life takes a miserable turn. From frame one to the last scene, it is the writer, actor and director alone, Satya is happy playing the ‘strangely’ educated wife who gives into the disgusting demands of her husband and becomes patience personified. It is only when Krishna Murali forces her to sleep with his best friend because he wants a heir to the family, Satya flees home. Dialogues are awful and screenplay is bad. YSC
