awareness: Schoolchildren taking out a rally in Hubli on Friday as part of Road Safety Week. HUBLI: A large number of schoolchildren took out a rally to raise awareness on road safety here on Friday. They held placards and banners highlighting the safety measures to be followed by motorcyclists and other vehicle drivers. The schoolchildren raised slogans on issues related to road safety and distributed pamphlets on road safety. Hubli-Dharwad Police Commissioner N. Shivakumar inaugurated the “Road Safety Week” programmes by flagging off the rally. Deputy Commissioner of Police Chandiram Singh and traffic police officials were among those present on the occasion. The Hubli-Dharwad Police Commissionerate will organise several programmes aimed at educating people on road safety and traffic rules and regulations. The Commissionerate will also organise competitions in schools and colleges here on issues related to road safety during the week.
