ADILABAD: In a move to ensure the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) in an effective manner in the district, the Adilabad District Legal Services Authority (ADLSA) has been entrusted withimplementation of the scheme according to an order. The ADLSA will now receive complaints regarding faulty implementation of the scheme and make inspections of works under it wherever warranted. At a press conference here ADLSA Secretary M.Krishnappa said aggrieved wage seekers can lodge complaints on irregularities in terms of registration, allocation of work, disbursal of unemployment wages, job cards, discrepancies or misuse of wages, deficient work site facilities and faulty measurement of work or problems related to opening of bank and post office accounts and maintenance of muster rolls. Complainants can approach the ADLSA at Adilabad or the mandal level LSAs situated in respective courts at Asifabad, Nirmal and Sirpur (T). Giving details of the new order, the ADLSA Secretary said a minimum of five Lok Adalats will be conducted every month to settle complaints related to the NREGS. Wherever required,
