Cooperative fair begins

Special Correspondent

JAIPUR: An 11-day national cooperative fair began at Jawahar Kala Kendra here on Saturday with a call to promote retail marketing in the cooperative sector and make improvements in the products to meet the changing needs of consumers. Inaugurating the fair, Rajasthan Cooperative Minister Parsadilal Meena said the cooperative sector should win the confidence of people by offering high-quality products and services at affordable prices.

Mr. Meena released consumer items of the Sahakari Upbhokta Sangh such as glass service cleaner, white floor cleaner, toilet cleaner and dish washer. Registrar of Cooperative Societies Sudhansh Pant said the cooperative institutions from 18 States would display their products at 145 stalls in the fair. He said this would attract a number of customers to the cooperative sector. Each day of the fair will be devoted to a theme and cultural activities representing various regions of the country will be organised daily.
